Chelsea FC to Make First Signing as Top Rated 23-year-old Accepts Deal – Read Report

Chelsea FC are set to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus this summer, according to reports

Chelsea FC are poised to make Daniele Rugani their first signing of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the 23-year-old Juventus defender is poised to become Chelsea FC’s first signing of the summer.

The same report says that the young defender has “essentially accepted” an offer from the Blues and that he is poised to move to Stamford Bridge before the start of the season.

According to the same story, Rugani is one of Maurizio Sarri’s top targets, with the Italian manager widely tipped to take over from Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer.

For the time being, however, Antonio Conte remains in charge of the west London side as the Blues look to resolve their managerial situation as quickly as possible.

Rugani has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea FC over the last few days and it appears that he is indeed now closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea FC will have to make do without Champions League football next season after they finished fifth in the Premier League and missed out on a top-four spot last term.
