JUST IN: Maurizio Sarri Welcomes Another New Star To Chelsea

Five-time Premier League winner and former England and Chelsea captain John Terry is keen to make a surprising comeback at Chelsea.

The one-time Champions League winner who left Chelsea two years ago, could be set for a return to the west London club.

“Chelsea is Terry’s home,” says Sarri, who replied he is happy to hold up a slot for the Blues’ legend if the 37-year-old is raring to return.

Terry rejected a move to join Russian side Spartak Moscow, insisting on bridging distant steps away from his family.

The former England defender wants to return to Stamford Bridge and continue playing, revealed Sarri.

Terry informed the Blues boss he wants to resume his career at Chelsea.

Sarri, 56, who is delighted by the news, also offered the veteran a role as part of his coaching staff.

The Italian acknowledged that his presence will foster relationship in the club.

Sarri said: “Chelsea is his home. Of course I am open [to having] him because of his history with the club. He has won everything with the club so it is up to him.

“Here he is a point of reference, here it is John Terry’s home so he will be very important for everybody, only the presence.”

Terry racked up four FA Cups, three League Cups, three Community Shield, during his 15-year stretch at Stamford Bridge.
